BrachyDOSE is the first specialized, easily adaptable solution on the market that does not increase the length of procedures and retains the accuracy of measurements. The principle novelty aspect of BrachyDOSE solution is its full compatibility and ease-of-use, allowing the solution to be used in everyday medical procedures.
BranchyDOSE will ensure safer cancer treatment procedures and allow patients to have highly personalized treatment plans while also helping treatment providers to achieve higher profit.
Current – TRL6 (2017): The prototype system has already been tested with phantom measurements performed close to the expected levels. Currently the device is being further tested in clinical environment using human tissue equivalent phantom and the pilot study for the performance of in vivo test measurements is in preparation phase. The system will be fully tested in close collaboration with the first end-user which is cancer treatment institutions.
Our product will be applied in medical sector – patient dose measurment and quality control of irradiation procedure.
BrachyDOSE system is constructed to be used during the brachytherapy (internal cancer treatment) procedures. It is planed that BrachyDOSE will be sold and then used together with whole cancer treatment planning system as integrated part.
BrachyDOSE system is competing with other dosimetric systems that are designed for routine dosimetery measurements.
RAPDOSE, TLD, VIVODOSE are not designed for specialized brachytherapy measurements, however, they have high dose measurement quality.
RAPDOSE is created for 4D radiotherapy. They use MOSFET dosimeter, which has high measurement accuracy and small geometrical parameters. Thus, it can only be used for a short time period and its price is relatively high. 4D radiotherapy is only performed in high medical level countries.
TLD dosimeter has good measurement accuracy, however, it is difficult to use in brachytherapy procedures as it extends the duration of the procedure. It requires calibration and sterilization before every procedure.
VIVODOSE is the dosimetric system of a well-known manufacturer PTW. It measures real-time, but is not compatible with equipment used in brachytherapy procedures.
