The winner of the Lithuanian defence technology hackathon Flaming Shield: Mission AI 2025 has entered negotiations for a €1 million investment to develop autonomous drone technologies. The investment, initiated by Coinvest Capital and private investors, will support solutions for unmanned systems designed to meet the needs of modern battlefields.

On September 29, 2025, the national workshop “New Horizons: Empowering Refugees through Entrepreneurship” brought together community leaders, international organisations, and Ukrainian refugee women entrepreneurs to celebrate resilience and new beginnings. Organised by Tech-Park Kaunas in cooperation with the Refugee Council of Lithuania, the IOM Lithuania and other national and international partners, the gathering highlighted how Ukrainian women have transformed challenges of displacement into opportunities for business creation and professional growth.

Tech-Park Kaunas, together with the Ekonomikos ir inovacijų ministerija and its partners, has signed a cooperation agreement to establish the Defence and Security Innovation Centre “Vytis”. The centre will be located in Kaunas and will serve as a strategic hub where business, academia, and government institutions can collaborate on their shared interests. It will focus on the development, testing, and certification of defence, security, and dual-use technologies and products.
