International cooperation in the fields of higher education for developing software talents - SoftAwareNo. 2019-1-BG01-KA203-062553Implementation period 2019-10-01 – 2021-09-30 |

The project aims to create a transnational partnership between the major actors responsible for IT professionals’ enhancement, namely HE, research centres, employers, professional associations, social partners, VET providers and SMEs to foster the development of software talents across Europe. During the 2 years of implementation of SoftAware, the aim of the partners is to create stable networks of reference stakeholders for ICT and software development in 4 of the partner countries – Lithuania, Bulgaria, Portugal and Cyprus whose goal will be to foster the continuous update of the educational curriculum. Expected results: 1: Bachelor Degree Curriculum in Software Technologies; 1.R1 Methodological framework; 1.R2 Report on conducted deep interviews/round tables/focus groups; 2: SoftAware Open Online Courses 2.R1 Common templates with structure for developing SoftAware modules; 2.R.2 Methodological guidelines for trainers, which will include theories, procedures, cases, and exercises; 2.R3 User evaluation report–to be compiled based on reports from partners from the pilot testing conducted on national level; 3: SoftAware Soft Skills Toolkit for University Lecturers in Computer Sciences. Project coordinator: Technical university of Sofia, Bulgaria Partners: Instituto politecnico de Leiria, Portugal Project activities (achievements): 3-4 October 2019 - Kick - off meeting, Maria Grande (Portugal). During the meeting project partners introduced their institutions, discussed the progress of the project as well as agreed on responsibilities. 29 November 2019 – logo of the project developed. 29 November 2019 - project Facebook profile launched: https://www.facebook.com/SoftAwareproject/. 29 November 2019 - SoftAware kick-off meeting evaluation survey conducted and an evaluation report developed. 23 December 2019- Conceptual framework for the “Software Technology” curriculum is developed and disseminated for project partners’ comments. 1 July 2020 - SofAware leaflet developed and disseminated. 3 July 2020 - the Round Tables, Focus Groups & In-depth Interviews organised by KTU Kaunas University of Technology and Kaunas Science and Technology Park. Representatives of IT business companies and KTU academia have expressed their opinion about the Bachelor’s Degree Curriculum for the Software Technologies study program. 10 July, 14 August, 10 September, 16 and 30 October 2020 - Kaunas Science and Technology Park together with Kaunas University of Technology joined their efforts in presenting the SoftAware project to representatives of IT companies during the training for IT specialists, organised by Kaunas STP. 3 August 2020 – SoftAware Newsltetter No 1 is developed and disseminated. Dissemination and Exploitation Strategy is developed. Dissemination and Exploitation Report No 1 is under development. SoftAware Open Online Courses are under development.
