Energetic sustainability is becoming an important trend in urban development. Architects are looking for ways to optimize energy circulation using green rooftops. The growing tendency of such buildings speaks not only about increased economic sustainability but also plays an important role in expanding recreational spaces and creating new urban norms. "When people ask why green roofs are being designed, we think: why not? Why aren't all the roofs in the city green yet?", says Guoda Zykuvienė, an architect at G.Janulytė-Bernotienė studio, who designed the M-Lab building that will soon open its doors on the KTU student campus. With the involvement of the university community, additional green roof scenarios have been created: a vegetable garden, dining areas, and yoga spaces.
