Do you really need to be an astronaut or live and work on Mars, or is it enough to be a student or a scientist with a strong desire to explore space? Every day we work with various technologies, from simple and complex robots to water and air purification machines, food production devices and energy systems. It helps us to see what is in space, just over 100 km away, but more importantly, we don't have to go up to learn the secrets of space because the technology is right here on Earth.
Today's technological advances allow us to see space not only from a cosmic perspective but also from a terrestrial one. Cutting-edge space technology companies such as Kongsberg NanoAvionics, Geomatrix and BlackSwan Space in Lithuania are creating innovations transforming space missions and making Lithuania's name known worldwide.
At the end of last year, the European Space Agency signed an agreement with the Visoriai Information Technology Park to establish a business incubator (ESA BIC Lithuania) in Vilnius and Kaunas. The incubated companies located in Visoriai Information Technology Park and Tech-Park Kaunas will receive technical and consultancy support and €50,000 for technology development.
